Frida and Per "Annapurna Sanctuary Trek were a fantastic experience" |
|
Thank you very much for your christmas greetings and we wish you all the best for 2008. First of all, thank you very much for making our 16 days in Nepal such a wonderful experience. Thank you Himalayanglacier for organising our trip and for your friendly and helpful attitude, everything from our first contact before the trip to dropping us off at the airport worked perfectly.
And thank you to HGT Staffs for your excellent guiding during the entire trek and for your friendly and helpful attitude. Our 13 days on the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek were a fantastic experience. The trek was a magnificent nature experience with rice terraces, rododhendron forests, Langor monkeys, waterfalls, hot springs, amazing mountain views and much much more - amazing!! It was very good that we always could set our own pace with numerous breaks for water or taking photos. | | | | | We spent about 3 to 8 hours per day walking with an average of about 4-5 hours, so we never felt that we were in a hurry and we could totally enjoy the sorroundings and the nice company during walking. The scenery changed every day which made the trek varied and never boring. When we reached the Tea houses Kapil (HGT Staffs) made sure that we got a good reception and the best accomodation and food. The accomodation and food exceeded our expectations by far. Almost every day we had a warm shower and the food with Daal Bath and the breakfasts with porridge with apple and freshly baked bread was excellent. Another very interesting part of the trek was talking with Kapil, He answered all or questions and explained things about the nature, religion, people and much more with great knowledge. And he also learned us a few Nepali words and phrases, we still remember most of them, dhanyabad!! This really gave us an extra dimension to the trip. One of the absolute highlights of our trip was the day in Annapurna Base Camp. We woke up at 4.15 in the morning and walked from Machapuchare Base Camp under a fantastic starlit sky up to Annapurna Base Camp surrounded by white mountains. We reached base camp in time for the sunrise, and then we could just relax and enjoy the truly magnificent mountain scenery. A great day that we will always remember! Thank you (himalayanglacier) also to our porter Rupies, he did a great job and was smiling during the whole trek! Another interesting experience was the guided tour on our second day in Katmandhu when we saw Buddhist and Hindu temples, city life and much more. Finally, we are very glad that we chose to visit Nepal and that we chose Himalayan Glacier Trekking to organise and make the most of our trip. We can really give you our best recommendations! Happy New Year Himalayan Glacier Trekking and say hello to Rupies when you see him. Best regards Frida and Per (from sweden) Dec 2007 | |
