In fact, Ladakh is more like Tibet than any part of India. It's also a part of the famous ancient Silk Road. Ladakh has served as an important strategic point in the Himalayas since the ancient times. Buddhism is believed to have penetrated to Tibet from India via Ladakh Himalayas. The influence of Buddhism can also be seen in the capital of Ladakh, Leh. Most of our Ladakh tour begins from Delhi because Delhi is the capital city of India and also an important transit point.
