TIMS for Trekkers in Nepal |

The Trekking Information Management System (TIMS) have been effective in Nepal since the start of 2008. Now those tourists willing to go trek in any of the areas of Nepal is required to fill up the TIMS registration forms. The forms are available from all trekking agencies, Nepal Tourism Board and the office of Trekking Agents Association of Nepal free of cost.

13 % tourists increase in January |
|
In January of this year Nepal received a 13 per cent increment in the overall tourist arrival compared to the same period last year. Based on the data provided by Nepal Tourism Board, a total of 26,064 tourists visited in January by air as against 23,079 last year.

Mountaineering Great Sir Edmund Hillary passes away |
Sir Edmund Percival Hillary who conquered Sagarmatha (Mount Everest) for the first time along with Tensing Norgay in 1953, passed away Friday. He was 88. Hillary died at Auckland Hospital at 9 am Friday New Zealand time
