New government in offing Nepal has successfully observed its first and historic Constituent Assembly election on 10 April with an overwhelming participation of its people. According to the information provided by Election Commission, over 60 % of the eligible citizens have cast their polls, one of the highest in recent years.
The final count has revealed Maoists winning the maximum number of seats in the assembly. The various victorious political parties are now preparing to start a coalition government and draft a constitution as soon as possible. The peaceful conduction of election to constituent assembly has brought hope for peace and stability in Nepal.With the end of the election, normal life in Nepal has resumed. Economic activities are up and running and so is tourism. Tourists have now started coming to Nepal in big numbers.
