After the phenomenal success of Visit Nepal Year 1998, Nepal is again making preparation to celebrate another Visit Nepal Year. Although the exact date has not been set, Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN) has asked the government to observe it in 2010.

Being one of the potential destinations for tourism in the world, Nepal certainly holds a unique niche for various kinds of travelers. Nepal has been a popular mecca for adventure and eco tourists, recreational and VFR tourists, cultural and volunteer tourists. Visit Nepal Year will be a genuine initiative to help put Nepal back into tourist map.

Visit Nepal Year 2010 will see a lot of tourism activities carried out across Nepal, in all the major tourist hubs and villages. The festivities will begin from January 1 and will run till December 31, 2010. Nepal Tourism Board in conjunction with private sectors and concerned stakeholders will be overseeing all programs on national and local level with focus on giving tourists an ultimate experience the Nepalese way.
