Sagar Pandey President and Founder
Sagar Pandey has been the managing director of Nepal's leading mountaineering and trekking company, Himalayan Glacier Trekking, since the Company was established in 1992. Sagar has led successful treks and climbs in the mighty Himalayas over the past 18 years. He has led many treks to Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Circumference and Mount Kailash. His experience in planning successful climb to Island Peak, Mera Peak, Lobuche Peak, Baruntse, Cho Oyu, and Pumari worked as assets and were of great help in his successful climb to Mt. Everest in 2007.

Narayan Regmi Managing Director
I look after the finance and day-to-day management of HGT. I was born in 1964 in the beautiful Dhaulagiri region of Nepal. I had an amazing experience while trekking Annapurna, Everest, Langtang, and Upper Mustang of my dear country which aroused my interest in this sector and hence, ended up as a partner in HGT. An Economics Masters degree holder, I earlier worked for the Nepal government and currently am also involved in social works. I enjoy travelling and have been to the South Asian region, Japan, U.K and U.S.A. I can speak fluent Japanese, English and Nepali of course! -
Naba Raj Amgai Executive Director
Naba Raj Amgai was born in Gorkha of midwestern Nepal mountains, the famous region of the Manaslu Trek. Naba handles the Operations Department of HGT for trek, tour, and climbing in Nepal, Bhutan, India, and Tibet. More than ten years experience of working as a trek, tour and mountaineering leader has made Naba familiar with most of the trek, tour and climbing regions in this part of the world. Naba also has an extensive experience and knowledge in conducting trek and peak climbing programs in the Himalayan regions, such as the classical treks in Nepal like Everest, Annapurna, Langtang, Mustang, Manalsu, Kanchenjungha, Dhaulagiri, among others. He also organizes peak climbing programs to Himalayan peaks such as Island, Mera, Lobuche , Chulu as well as other Himalayan peaks below 7,000 meters. Naba's specialty also covers trek and tour programs in Tibet , Bhutan and India. At times he leads adventure treks to the high Himalayan region and also provides eco and first aid training for the leaders and other crew members. Naba's passion for travel, making new friends and interacting with people from all cultures has taken him to visiting many countries of the world including Austria, Germany, Holland, Japan, USA and other Asian countries. Naba speaks English, French, Hindi and a bit of Japanese & Spanish too. -
Tony Monaco Director of Operations
Tony is the Director of Operations for Himalayan Glacier Trekking LLC located in Charlotte, North Carolina. He grew up in Glenwood Springs, Colorado and discovered his passion for the mountains at a young age. During his college years, he enjoyed working on a ranch in Old Snowmass, always ready to explore his Rocky Mountain backyard. He continues his travels, taking opportunities to experience much of what the outdoors has to offer.

Lina Patel Director of Operations, North America
Lina Patel was born and raised in Gujarat, India and migrated to the United States with her family. She currently resides in Cincinnati, Ohio. Growing up, Lina always had a passion for the mountains, particularly the Himalayas. Her experience in mountaineering comes from past 13 years of hiking through out USA. Over the past several years, Lina has traveled through Nepal, trekking to the base camp of Mt. Everest, and climbing through the Khumbu valley. Lina has also successfully lead a group of travelers to Mount Kailash - Lake Mansarovar Yatra in Tibet.

Denis Lipatov Director of Operations, Eastern Tibet & Sikkim
Born in Russia in 1976 in the family of geologists. Have got mathematical education in Saint-Petersburg in "Saint-Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation". From the childhood participated in several geological and archaeological expeditions. Was engaged in mountaineering. Study Tibetan Buddhism from 1999.
First time I came to Nepal in 2006 and have fallen in love with this country. Initially I joined «HGT» as a manager for operations with Russian clients in 2009. Today I am a partner in HGT, and handle the operations with Sikkim and Eastern Tibet. Interested in climbing, photos and Asian culture. -
Raj Kumar Maharjan Web Developer
Born in 1985 and a resident of Kathmandu, he is the back bone of all our online operations. It's his job to keep HGT's websites updated and in proper working order. Whenever any of our staff face any kind of computer related problem, he is there to help them out with a smile always on his face! He is efficient at his work and has quite an experience in this field.

Divas Upadhyay Research Writer & Editor
Divas has been involved in the tourism industry for the last couple of years. Has contributed his writings to various national and international online and print media. Divas researches, designs, and develops HGT adventure packages. He also updates and edits HGT's online information systems. -
Indira Nepal Travel Consultant/Writer
She always wanted to be a part of the tourism industry and working with HGT just fulfilled her desire. Besides crafting and structuring the standard itineraries and programs, she loves to customize tours and trekking itineraries based on an individual/group's request. She enjoys assisting others so that they can get the best of what the beautiful South Asian countries have to offer. She says, "I adore my job especially because I get the chance to interact with people from all over the world! It's fun to be a part of an exciting and growing organization!"

Sneha Shrestha Copywriter & Corresponding Personnel
She has been associated with HGT since 2010 as a copy writer and corresponding personnel. Born in 1987, she has just finished her Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication. She carries out research and designs tours for HGT and handles mails also. Some of her interests are writing, photography and travelling. She adds that she is enjoying her work here coming across interesting facts during research and also getting acquainted with this industry! -
Yam K.C. Accountant
Well, in our office he is well known as 'K.C. sir'. He looks after the accounts department and sees to it that no mistakes are made in the cash inflow and out flow books! Born in the year 1982 in Chitwan district of Nepal and currently a resident of Kathmandu, he is a responsible and good natured person.

Rabin Dhakal Account Assistant
With HGT since 2010
He is a member of our accounts department and looks after the day to day transactions of HGT. He belongs to Namjung in the beautiful district of Gorkha and is pursuing his Bachelor level studies in Commerce in Kathmandu. On the experiences of working in the tourism industry, he says that he loves his work here and is dedicated towards it. -
Wap Thapa Magar Office Cook
He manages our office kitchen and makes it a point to serve lunch to the staff as well as the guests visiting our office. He cooks awesome snacks and also prepares tea/coffee for us. He has trekked all over the country initially working as a porter then kitchen boy and then as a cook. He is a responsible person and an integral part of our team.
