Dipendra Pandey(Kapil) Tour Leader - Nepal
With HGT since 1998
Dipendra, born in 1982, is from Ashrang in the Gorkha district of Nepal. He is better known as Kapil. He has been working as a tour leader since 1997 and has travelled extensively throughout all the seventy five districts that Nepal comprises of. He has in depth knowledge of every nook and corner of his dear country. He is familiar with almost all the interesting historic and cultural sites here. He is well versed in English and is an excellent communicator. He easily is able to establish a good rapport with his guests. Being a Nepali, he has knowledge of Nepal's religious practices, its culture, its heritage and its people! He is also a keen observer and loves to offer valuable insight into Nepalese culture to his guests. He makes it a point to answer all the queries of his guests and enrich them with all that he has knowledge of. He says that informing his guests about the place and the culture and historic significance of that place is essential to creating a memorable experience for his guests. -
Chenda Tour Leader - Bhutan
Chenda is from Paro and comes from families that have lived their life on high mountains herding livestock. He knows every nook and corner of the trails on mountains. This makes him one of the veteran trek leaders in Bhutan. Despite other treks, he has done 21 days Snowman trek which is billed as one of the most difficult treks in the world. He is also a good cultural guide. He has bachelor degree from Sherubtse College, the only degree college in Bhutan. He has vast knowledge on Bhutan history and culture, religion, iconography and flora and fauna and all aspects on Bhutan. Bring any topic; Chenda can give a lengthy talk. Most of the people best describe Mr. Chenda as gentle and knowledgeable guide. -
Kinga Tour Leader - Bhutan
After graduation, Kinga underwent guide training and he was certified by Bhutan government to guide both cultural and trekking groups visiting Bhutan. He has been guiding in Bhutan since 2004. He had studied in English medium school from pre-primary till degree level and he speaks fluent English. He led groups from various background and nationalities. He is relaxed and fun guide who very well get along with any kinds of people. He is a decent guide with highest degree of ethic and values. He is dedicated to his work and always eager to make people coming to Bhutan happy. -
Prem Basaula Tour Leader - Nepal
With HGT since 2006
Born in 1961 and brought up in the beautiful Salyantar, which falls in the Dhading district of Nepal, Prem has been in this profession for more than ten years now. Prem joined HGT in the year 2006 and since has looked after several of our tour guests. He is a fully trained leader and is an expert leader for Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet. He was in Russia during the '90s. He lived there for twelve years for study and work purpose. His stay there gave him first hand knowledge of the Russian language as well as the opportunity to interact with the people of Russia. His knowledge of Russian language gives him an edge in handling our Russian guests better. He is well versed in this language and has taken care of our guests very well. He has been to almost all of the cities and districts in Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan and has extensive knowledge of all the places. He has also travelled in Russia, India, Kailash and China. Even though being a tour guide, he has also been to some of the famous trekking zones of Nepal like Everest Base Camp, Upper Mustang, Muktinath, Langtang and Dolpo. -
