Dev Raj Giri Trekking Leader
With HGT since 1999
Born in 1966 in the Kavre district of Nepal, Giri, joined this profession after completing his Intermediate studies. He is a trained trekking guide and since 1988 has been working in this field. He has been to numerous trekking trips in regions like Annapurna, Everest, Langtang etc. He speaks English and Hindi fluently other than Nepali. He is good at looking after the guests and taking care of their needs. He also has vast knowledge of Nepal, its culture, places and people. -
Homnath Bhatta Trekking Leader

Basically from Gorkha, born in the year 1975, I have been in this profession since 1998. I have completed my studies till intermediate level and can speak English and Hindi fluently. I have received guide, English and other trainings to help me in my work. I have trekked extensively throughout the famous trekking zones of Nepal - Everest, Annapurna and Langtang and have ample knowledge of these regions. My job allows me to come across new people and take them around my country something which I enjoy to do!

Rishi Ram Pandey Trekking Leader

Rishi has been with HGT since 1998. He is one of our accomplished leaders and can fluently speak English apart from Nepali and Hindi. He was born in 1979 and belongs to the Gorkha district of Nepal. After completing his studies till Intermediate level, he underwent trek guide training to join this profession. He has since done several treks for us and has always worked hard to please the guests. He says that even after so many years of being in this profession, he has not lost even a bit of interest in this job and would continue to go on as long as he can! -

Born in 1977 in the Gorkha district of Nepal, he joined this profession after completing his Intermediate level studies. He is a trained trek leader and has been on ample number of treks for us. He has trekked the most famous trekking zones of Nepal, namely, Everest, Annapurna and Langtang several times and has also been to Mt. Kailash. He can speak English and Hindi well. He focuses on good customer service and is sincere towards his work.

Trekking is something which I always yearned to do and so after completing my Bachelor level studies took different trainings to enter this profession. These trainings helped me in knowing more about this profession and in making be an able trek leader. I like to take care of my guests and see to it that they are comfortable during the trek. A resident of the Ashrang region of Nepal, I was born in the year 1976. I am a trained trekking guide and have been working with HGT since 1999. I can talk in English, Nepali and Hindi languages. Born in the year 1982 in the Dhading district of Nepal, my interest in the tourism sector brought me into this field. I did a guide training course and have been in this profession since 2003. I have taken all the necessary trainings required to be in this profession. I always try to encourage the guests to move on so that they can successfully complete their trek. I can speak in English, Nepali and Hindi languages.

Bhim Bahadur Thapa Assistant Trekking Leader

He belongs to the Dhading district of Nepal and was born in 1979. He has been working as a assistant trekking leader since 1998 with HGT. He has taken trek leader as well as mountaineering training. He can speak in English, Hindi, Malay other than, of course, Nepali. He has been on quite a number of treks across Annapurna, Everest, Mustang, Rolwaling regions. He has also been to expeditions to Island Peak and Chulu West Peak as well.

Raj Kumar is from the Gorkha district of Nepal and was born there in 1985. He has been working in this profession since 2006 and is one of our trained trek leaders. Deu Bahadur has been in this industry since 1995. Belonging to the Dhading district of Nepal and born in the year 1960, he has been to several trekking zones of Nepal like Annapurna, Everest, Helambu, Dolpa and many others. Kewal belongs to the Khotang district of Nepal and was born in the year 1971. He has been trekking in the regions of Nepal since 1996 and is an able and experienced trek leader of HGT. Ganga Bahadur Tamang Trekking Leader

Ganga was born in the countryside of Solukhumbu in the year 1985. He is one of our ably trained trek leaders. Having travelled extensively to the well known trek zones of Nepal, he has ample knowledge about the region, culture and the locals habits and behavior. Hira was born in the year 1985 in the Gorkha district of Nepal. Having completed his graduation and taken trainings for trek leader, he joined HGT in 2002 to begin his career in this field. He speaks English, Turkish, Hindi and Nepali well. He has trekked to Everest, Annapurna, Ghale Gaon, Tamang Heritage trek many times with our guests.

Bam has been working as trek leader since 2008 with HGT and has since led several of our groups with care and dedication. All our guests who have trekked with him, are very fond of him and appreciate his sincerity towards his work. He is a trained trek guide and has all the qualifications necessary for the job. Tulsi is from the Gorkha district of Nepal. Born in 1984 in this hilly region, he began his career in this industry with HGT. His desire to visit new places and interact with people brought him towards this profession and since has been in love with it. He has escorted many of our guests to the different trekking regions of Nepal like Everest, Annapurna, Langtang and others... Dorjee is from the Solukhumbu district of Nepal. He was born in the year 1985. He has been in this profession for more than 12 years now and has been working with HGT since 2008. He guided several trips to the various trekking zones like Everest, Annapurna, Langtang etc. He is a trained trek guide and knows English, Nepali and Sherpa languages. His familiarity with the mountain regions brought him into this field. -

Bimal Babu Thapa Trekking Leader

Born in Bungkot in Gorkha district in 1983, Bimal has completed his school level studies and has been working as a trek guide for more than ten years now. He has been a part of HGT since 2002. In his long span of trekking career he has experience of trekking in almost all the famous trekking regions of Nepal and also on an expedition to Island Peak. He is fluent in English and Hindi other than his mother tongue Nepali. -
Aasbir Gurung Trekking Leader

Aasbir comes from the Dhading district of Nepal. Born in 1974, he has been working as trek leader since 1996 and has been to treks to almost all the parts of Nepal. He joined HGT in 2004 and since has led several trips successfully for us. He has taken all the necessary training for this profession and has over 15 years of experience. He has fluency in English and Hindi. He has always maintained a cordial relation with the guests. -
Lila Bahadur Karki Cook
With HGT since 2005
Lila is a trained and experienced cook. Born and brought up in the Dolakha district of Nepal, he has always been close to the mountains and nature. This inspired him to join the tourism industry. He has been a part of HGT since 2005 and has travelled across Nepal with several of our groups, preparing delicious meals for them. He cooks Nepali, Chinese, Continental and Indian dishes very well. -
Pasang Lakpa Sherpa Trekking Guide/Cook
With HGT since 2011
Pasang started out as a cook in this line of work and later began working as a trekking guide. He acquired training in both fields and has a working experience of more than 10 years. He has been with HGT since 2011. His experience includes both trekking and mountaineering regions of Nepal and he is also familiar with local cultures and environments. Fluent in English, Hindi, Nepali and Tibetan, he can also speak French.
